    Pioneer Grove Wind Farm

In 2012, ACCIONA Windpower grid-connected its two first wind turbines within the 3MW segment which were installed in the US

The installation of the two first AW3000 wind turbines in the US was a important milestone for the company in the American market. Located in Cedar County, close to the ACCIONA Windpower's manufacturing plant at West Brach (Iowa), where they had been produced, the two units feature a 116m diameter rotor which optimizes energy generation in low and medium wind sites. Two tower technolgies -steel and concrete- where tested in the Pioneer Grove Wind Farm.
